The most common cause of finding a pool of water around your fridge is simply that the door was not closed properly, causing condensation to run down the front and collect on the floor. Check the door is closed properly and sealed tight.
If you are certain the door closes as it should, it could be a broken seal or washer from the workings underneath or at the back of the fridge, or could be a cracked component. In this case, pick up the phone and call for a hero.
